g1 architects was formed in 2004 by Roy Malcolm. Roy has over 11 years of extensive experience as an associate and partner in a large central scotland architectural practice employing 20 staff. Within the practice he had responsibility for design standards, IT development and project delivery. During that time he designed and project managed a wide range of innovative buildings and developments in the residential, leisure, tourism and healthcare sectors.
Roy established g1 architects to pursue a commitment and passion to achieve the highest possible standards in building design and project delivery, while at the same time ensuring that the aspirations of the client were met.
The Practice is run with a minimum of overheads to ensure that resources are focused on the needs of the clients. This includes having essential full time staff while bolting on to specialist expertise when required.
In architecture, the projects speak for themselves. This web site shows a selection of our work. Some of the projects illustrated were completed prior to g1, but were the responsibility of the architect.
